Atascocita Golf Club Closed ......... Update 1/25/10 

As of the end of business 12/31/09, Atascocita Golf Club  was closed and there are no plans for the club to reopen unless someone purchases the property for future revival of the golf course operations.  We are in discussion with a couple of groups with that intent, but their interest is completely contingent on community support in the form of some level of guaranteed dues.  There has also been discussion with governing entities in regard to possible purchase of portions of the golf course property for parkland.  Additionally, there are some who have expressed interest in purchasing all or part of the property for redevelopment or greenspace preservation.  At this point, there is no clear direction, but hopefully that will come in the next couple of months.  We also understand that the Atascocita Community Improvement Association is working on some organization and concepts.  It is very possible that the end disposition of the property will be some combination of the various possibilities above.  We are open to discussion with interested parties on all concepts at this point and hope to have the property sold by summer.

Minimal custodial maintenance will continue on the golf course and clubhouse property.  We ask that all Atascocita area residents respect the fact that the golf course land is private property, just like everyone's home.   Trespassing, vandalism or theft will be referred to the Harris County Constable's office.  Please help us to monitor and prevent these activities.
